Seeking Seven (7) beaded GTB Logo Medallions from GTB Tribal Members

Summary

The Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians (GTB) invite proposals from GTB Tribal Members to design and handcraft seven (7) high-quality beaded medallions featuring the official GTB logo. These medallions will be worn and displayed by Tribal Council Members during their terms in office as a visible expression of leadership and service to GTB citizens.

Background

As part of our ongoing commitment to support Tribal artisans and showcase Anishinaabe craftsmanship, GTB periodically commissions cultural items from its membership. This RFP continues that tradition by commissioning medallions that represent the dignity and responsibility of Tribal Council leadership.

Scope of Services

Item Requested: Seven (7) beaded medallions incorporating the official GTB logo.

Uniformity: All medallions should be of consistent size, style, and color palette to present a unified appearance when worn by Council Members.

Craftsmanship: Items must be original, durable, and produced with high-quality materials.

Qualifications

Only GTB Tribal Members are eligible to submit proposals for this project.

Submission Requirements

Please include the following with your proposal:

• A written description and/or drawings of your proposed medallion design, including beadwork pattern, color choices, and approximate size (in inches).
• A brief description of your experience in beadwork or creating similar items.
• Price per medallion and total price for seven (7).
• Confirmation that you can meet the required delivery date of November 18, 2025.

Evaluation Procedure

Proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by the Tribal Council based on:

• Artistic quality and alignment with GTB's official logo.
• Craftsmanship and durability.
• Price and ability to meet deadlines.

Offer Submission Deadline

To be considered, a bid must be received by GTB as outlined below by October 20, 2025.

Award notices will be sent by October 23, 2025.

Artwork materials will be due by November 18, 2025.
