RFP - Dental Hygienist Part-Time Contractual 2024

The Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians (GTB, Grand Traverse Band) is requesting proposals from Dental Hygienist Providers interested in providing as-needed Dental Hygienist for our Community.

The GTB service area for the delivery of federal and Tribal services encompass six counties that include Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, and Manistee. There are 4192 Grand Traverse band tribal members, of which 1966 members and their dependents reside on the reservation lands or within the Service Area.
The Grand Traverse Band Dental Clinic was opened for services May 2012. We have 4 operatories and a small lab. Our office uses Dentrix as its electronic medical record. We have incorporated digital workflow in our practice and utilize digital radiographs, CBCT, intraoral scanning, and in-house milling.

The Dental Clinic is located at 2300 N Stallman Road, Suite A in Peshawbestown, MI., Medicine Lodge.

Scope of Services

A. Hygienist provider for patients in all age groups.
B. The contract is for as-needed services when the staff Hygienist is unavailable.
C. Hygienist will be paid for patient cancellations and GTB closure days (excludes Holidays).
D. Commitment for three years to the position.

Qualifications

A. Must be a Licensed Hygienist in Michigan to include a CPR license.
B. Liability insurance is required.
